Our favorite co-hosts Zoey Reynolds and Caitlin Dillon are back to discuss a few of their favorite things. Today on The Mochila Chat we talk about how to show empathy for another person when the writer does not know anything about the other person’s backstory and how a writer can make the readers feel the same empathy. We hear Macy French read her poem, “Lunch Lady at Summer Camp” from our Spring 2017 issue of the Mochila Review. We also hear Blake Fultz read “The Stolen Child” by William Butler Yeats. Then finally, our traveling co-host, Justin Janorschke, who visits Saint Louis, Missouri where Washington University is located. We learn about the graduate program, and it’s wonderful faculty such as Carl Phillips.
